Responsibilities
- Daily Living Assistance: Help clients with bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting with the utmost respect and dignity.
- Meal Preparation: Plan and prepare nutritious, client-specific meals that cater to dietary restrictions.
- Medication Management: Remind clients to take their medications on time and report any side effects or changes to the nursing supervisor.
- Companionship: Provide engaging conversation and emotional support to reduce feelings of isolation and loneliness.
- Household Support: Assist with light housekeeping tasks such as laundry, vacuuming, and cleaning the client’s living space to ensure a safe environment.
- Transportation: Accompany clients to medical appointments, grocery shopping, and social events as needed.
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or GED is preferred.
- Certification: Current CNA, PCA, or Home Health Aide certification is a plus but not mandatory for entry-level (we offer training!).
- Licensing: Valid Driver’s License and reliable personal transportation are required.
- Skills: Strong interpersonal communication skills and the ability to build trust quickly.
- Physical: Ability to lift and assist clients up to 50 lbs comfortably and stand for extended periods.
- Background: Must pass a background check and drug screening.
