Responsibilities
- Accurately prepare and dispense prescription medications under pharmacist supervision
- Manage inventory, including ordering, receiving, and tracking pharmaceutical supplies
- Process insurance claims and maintain accurate patient records
- Provide exceptional customer service and medication counseling to patients
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and pharmacy regulations
- Operate automated dispensing systems and pharmacy software
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to optimize patient outcomes
Qualifications
- Active California Pharmacy Technician license required
- 1+ years of retail or hospital pharmacy experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of pharmacy terminology and medication safety
- Proficiency in pharmacy management software (e.g., QS/1, Rx30)
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Certification through PTCB or ExCPT preferred
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication and customer service skills
