Responsibilities
- Prepare and dispense prescription medications with 100% accuracy under pharmacist supervision
- Manage inventory control systems including ordering, receiving, and auditing controlled substances
- Process insurance claims and resolve billing discrepancies efficiently
- Provide exceptional patient education on medication usage and side effects
- Maintain compliance with DEA, HIPAA, and Texas State Board of Pharmacy regulations
- Operate pharmacy management software and automated dispensing systems
Qualifications
- Active Texas Pharmacy Technician license required
- PTCB certification preferred (must obtain within 90 days of hire)
- Minimum 1 year retail or hospital pharmacy experience
- Exceptional attention to detail and mathematical accuracy
- Strong customer service skills with multilingual ability a plus
- Ability to stand 8+ hours and lift 25 lbs regularly
