Responsibilities
- Accurately dispense prescription medications and verify patient information
- Manage inventory control, including ordering and restocking pharmaceuticals
- Process insurance claims and handle third-party communications
- Maintain sterile compounding environments for IV preparations
- Utilize pharmacy software (e.g., Omnicell, QS1) for record-keeping
- Provide exceptional customer service to diverse patient populations
- Ensure HIPAA compliance and confidentiality protocols
Qualifications
- Active California Pharmacy Technician license (PTCB or NHA certified)
- Minimum 1 year retail or hospital pharmacy experience
- Proficiency with pharmacy management systems
- Strong mathematical and organizational skills
- Ability to work efficiently in fast-paced settings
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- Knowledge of sterile compounding procedures
- Flexibility to work rotating weekends and holidays
