Responsibilities
- Accurately prepare and dispense prescription medications under pharmacist supervision
- Manage inventory control, including ordering, receiving, and tracking pharmaceutical supplies
- Process insurance claims and handle third-party billing efficiently
- Maintain accurate patient records and prescription documentation
- Operate automated dispensing systems and pharmacy software (OmniRx experience preferred)
- Provide exceptional customer service to patients and healthcare providers
- Ensure compliance with DEA, HIPAA, and state pharmacy regulations
Qualifications
- Active Pharmacy Technician certification in Massachusetts (PTCB or ExCPT)
- Minimum 1 year of pharmacy technician experience in hospital or retail setting
- Strong knowledge of pharmaceutical terminology and medication safety protocols
- Proficiency in pharmacy management systems and Microsoft Office
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to multitask effectively in a high-volume environment
- Valid Massachusetts driver's license and reliable transportation
- Ability to work rotating weekends and occasional holidays
