Responsibilities
- Verify prescriptions for accuracy and completeness, checking for drug interactions.
- Prepare and package medications for dispensing under the supervision of a pharmacist.
- Manage inventory levels, including ordering, stocking, and rotating pharmaceutical stock.
- Assist pharmacists with clinical tasks, such as medication therapy management.
- Provide exceptional customer service by answering phone inquiries and resolving patient concerns.
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Operate pharmacy equipment, such as pill counters and barcode scanners, efficiently.
Qualifications
- Current Pharmacy Technician Certification (PTCB or ExCPT) required.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs.
- Basic computer proficiency and familiarity with pharmacy software.
- Valid Tennessee Pharmacy Technician license.
