Responsibilities
- Accurately prepare and dispense prescription medications under pharmacist supervision
- Verify patient information and insurance coverage for prescription fulfillment
- Manage inventory control, including ordering, receiving, and stocking pharmaceutical products
- Maintain precise medication records using pharmacy management software
- Provide exceptional customer service and medication counseling to patients
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to resolve prescription discrepancies
- Ensure compliance with state and federal pharmacy regulations
Qualifications
- Active California Pharmacy Technician license (PTCB or ExCPT certified preferred)
- Minimum 1 year of retail pharmacy experience
- Proficiency in pharmacy management systems (e.g., QS1, Rx30)
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in medication handling
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs
- Basic knowledge of HIPAA and pharmacy confidentiality protocols
- High school diploma or equivalent required
