Responsibilities
- Prepare and dispense prescription medications under pharmacist supervision
- Manage inventory, including ordering, receiving, and stock rotation
- Process insurance claims and maintain accurate patient records
- Counsel patients on medication usage and potential side effects
- Maintain compliance with DEA, HIPAA, and state pharmacy regulations
- Operate pharmacy technology systems (e.g., EpicRx, Omnicell)
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure medication accuracy
Qualifications
- Active Kansas Pharmacy Technician license (or ability to obtain within 30 days)
- Prior hospital or retail pharmacy experience preferred
- Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) certification required
- Strong knowledge of prescription medications and pharmaceutical terminology
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Basic computer proficiency with pharmacy management systems
- Strong communication and customer service skills
