Responsibilities
- Accurately prepare and dispense prescription medications following strict protocols and regulatory standards
- Utilize pharmacy automation systems for efficient medication packaging and labeling
- Provide exceptional customer service while counseling patients on medication usage and side effects
- Maintain precise inventory control through systematic stock rotation and order management
- Collaborate with pharmacists to ensure optimal therapeutic outcomes for patients
- Adhere to HIPAA compliance and maintain strict confidentiality of patient information
- Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives and process optimization
Qualifications
- Active Ohio Pharmacy Technician license (valid and in good standing)
- Prior experience in retail or hospital pharmacy setting preferred
- Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) credential strongly desired
- Proficiency in pharmacy management software and automated dispensing systems
- Exceptional attention to detail with strong mathematical accuracy
