Responsibilities
- Accurately dispense medications and verify prescription details
- Process insurance claims and manage inventory systems
- Provide exceptional customer service and medication counseling
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA and pharmacy regulations
- Collaborate with healthcare providers for patient care coordination
- Assist with sterile compounding and IV preparations
- Train new pharmacy staff on SOPs and workflows
Qualifications
- Active PTCB certification or Maryland Pharmacy Technician license
- 1+ years retail or hospital pharmacy experience
- Proficiency in pharmacy management software (e.g., QS1, Omnicell)
- Strong mathematical and organizational skills
- Excellent communication and customer service abilities
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs
- Basic knowledge of medical terminology and pharmacology
