Responsibilities
- Accurately dispense and label medications following prescription orders
- Manage inventory control and medication ordering systems
- Process insurance claims and maintain patient records
- Provide medication counseling and answer patient inquiries
- Collaborate with pharmacists on clinical reviews and drug interactions
- Maintain sterile compounding procedures for IV medications
- Ensure compliance with DEA and Board of Pharmacy regulations
Qualifications
- Active Washington State Pharmacy Technician license
- Prior retail or hospital pharmacy experience preferred
- Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) credential required
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Excellent communication and customer service abilities
- Ability to work efficiently in high-pressure environments
- Proficient with pharmacy management software (e.g., QS/1, Omnicell)
- Basic understanding of medical terminology
