Responsibilities
- Accurately dispense prescription medications and compound pharmaceutical preparations under pharmacist supervision
- Manage inventory control, including ordering, receiving, and tracking controlled substances
- Process insurance claims and manage patient billing information efficiently
- Maintain precise medication records and ensure compliance with FDA, DEA, and state pharmacy regulations
- Provide exceptional customer service, including medication counseling and prescription verification
- Operate pharmacy technology systems including dispensing software and automated equipment
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes
Qualifications
- Active Tennessee Pharmacy Technician license (or ability to obtain within 30 days)
- PTCB or ExCPT certification preferred
- Minimum 1 year retail pharmacy experience preferred
- Proficiency in pharmacy management software (e.g., QS1, Rx30)
- Strong attention to detail and mathematical accuracy
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds
- Must pass pre-employment background check and drug screening
