Responsibilities
- Accurately prepare, label, and dispense prescription medications under pharmacist supervision
- Manage inventory control and ordering of pharmaceutical supplies
- Process insurance claims and verify patient eligibility
- Provide exceptional customer service and medication counseling
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA and pharmacy regulations
- Train and mentor junior pharmacy technicians
- Operate pharmacy software systems (e.g., QS/1, Omnicell)
Qualifications
- Active Missouri Pharmacy Technician license (PTCB or ExCPT certified)
- Minimum 2 years retail or hospital pharmacy experience
- Strong knowledge of pharmaceutical terminology and drug interactions
- Proficiency in pharmacy management software and inventory systems
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs
- Detail-oriented with high accuracy in prescription processing
