Responsibilities
- Accurately prepare and dispense prescription medications under pharmacist supervision
- Manage inventory control and medication ordering systems
- Process insurance claims and maintain patient records
- Provide exceptional customer service to patients and healthcare providers
- Ensure compliance with FDA, DEA, and state pharmacy regulations
- Operate automated dispensing technology and compounding equipment
- Collaborate with clinical staff for medication therapy management
Qualifications
- Active Kentucky Pharmacy Technician license
- 1+ years of retail/hospital pharmacy experience preferred
- PTCB certification or willingness to obtain within 90 days
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in medication handling
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Basic computer proficiency with pharmacy software (e.g., QS1, Omnicell)
- High school diploma or equivalent required
