Responsibilities
- Accurately prepare and dispense prescription medications under pharmacist supervision
- Operate pharmacy equipment (provided) including automated dispensing systems and compounding tools
- Manage inventory, including ordering, receiving, and tracking pharmaceutical supplies
- Process insurance claims and assist patients with medication inquiries
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA, FDA, and state pharmacy regulations
- Support clean and efficient pharmacy operations through proper sanitation protocols
- Collaborate with healthcare team to optimize patient medication therapy
Qualifications
- Active Pharmacy Technician certification (PTCB or ExCPT)
- Texas State Board of Pharmacy registration
- Experience with pharmacy equipment (training provided on specific systems)
- Strong attention to detail and mathematical accuracy
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 30 pounds
- Basic computer proficiency and familiarity with pharmacy software
- High school diploma or equivalent required
