Responsibilities
- Accurately prepare and dispense prescription medications under pharmacist supervision
- Manage inventory control, ordering, and stock rotation of pharmaceutical products
- Process insurance claims and verify patient eligibility efficiently
- Provide exceptional customer service and medication counseling to patients
- Maintain accurate patient records and prescription documentation
- Ensure compliance with FDA, DEA, and state pharmacy regulations
- Utilize pharmacy software (e.g., Omnicell, QS/1) for daily operations
Qualifications
- Active Florida Pharmacy Technician license (PTCB or ExCPT certified)
- Minimum 1 year experience in retail or hospital pharmacy setting
- Strong knowledge of prescription medications and pharmaceutical terminology
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in medication preparation
- Proficient in pharmacy management software and inventory systems
- Exceptional communication and customer service skills
- Ability to stand for extended periods and handle physical workload
- Basic understanding of HIPAA compliance and patient privacy laws
