Responsibilities
- Accurately dispense medications and verify prescriptions under pharmacist supervision
- Manage inventory, including ordering, receiving, and stock rotation
- Process insurance claims and handle patient billing inquiries
- Provide exceptional customer service and medication counseling
- Maintain compliance with pharmacy regulations and HIPAA standards
- Operate pharmacy technology systems (e.g., dispensing software, POS)
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to optimize patient care
Qualifications
- Active California Pharmacy Technician license required
- Minimum 1 year retail or hospital pharmacy experience
- CPhT certification preferred (or willingness to obtain within 90 days)
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in medication handling
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Basic computer proficiency with pharmacy software
- Valid CPR certification
