Responsibilities
- Prepare and package prescription medications for patients with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Verify patient information and insurance details to ensure compliance with legal and regulatory standards.
- Maintain accurate inventory records of pharmaceutical stock and manage reordering processes.
- Provide exceptional customer service by answering patient inquiries regarding medications and addressing concerns in a professional manner.
- Assist pharmacists with compounding medications and processing prior authorizations.
- Ensure the pharmacy environment remains clean, organized, and compliant with safety regulations.
Qualifications
- Current certification as a Pharmacy Technician (PTCB or ExCPT) required.
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Strong knowledge of pharmaceutical terminology, drug interactions, and dosage forms.
- Excellent computer literacy and experience with pharmacy management software (e.g., Cerner, McKesson).
- Must possess a valid Kansas Pharmacy Technician license.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining focus and accuracy.
