Responsibilities
- Accurately process and verify prescriptions using advanced pharmacy management systems
- Provide exceptional patient consultations on medication usage, side effects, and health maintenance
- Maintain strict inventory control and pharmaceutical compliance standards
- Collaborate with pharmacists to optimize medication therapy and patient outcomes
- Execute sterile compounding procedures for specialized medications
- Train and mentor new pharmacy technicians on workflow protocols
- Utilize telepharmacy technologies to support remote prescription fulfillment
Qualifications
- Active California Pharmacy Technician license (PTCB or ExCPT certified)
- Minimum 2 years retail pharmacy experience in high-volume settings
- Expertise in pharmacy management software (e.g., QS/1, Omnicell)
- Strong knowledge of FDA regulations and HIPAA compliance protocols
- Exceptional communication skills with diverse patient populations
- Ability to multitask efficiently in fast-paced healthcare environments
- Experience with sterile compounding and IV admixtures
