Responsibilities
- Accurately dispense prescription medications under pharmacist supervision
- Manage inventory control, ordering, and stock rotation
- Process insurance claims and maintain patient records
- Counsel patients on medication usage and side effects
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA and pharmacy regulations
- Operate pharmacy software and automated dispensing systems
- Collaborate with healthcare providers for prescription verification
Qualifications
- Active Tennessee Pharmacy Technician license required
- 1+ years of retail/hospital pharmacy experience preferred
- PTCB certification (or eligible for immediate certification)
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in medication handling
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Basic computer proficiency with pharmacy systems
