Responsibilities
- Dispense prescription medications accurately and efficiently using pharmacy software systems
- Manage inventory, order pharmaceutical supplies, and conduct stock audits
- Prepare sterile compounds and IV medications under pharmacist supervision
- Provide exceptional customer service, counseling patients on medication usage
- Maintain HIPAA-compliant patient records and prescription documentation
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure prescription accuracy
- Operate automated dispensing systems and pharmacy equipment
Qualifications
- Active Michigan Pharmacy Technician license (required)
- 1+ years of pharmacy technician experience preferred
- Proficiency in pharmacy management software (e.g., QS1, Omnicell)
- Strong attention to detail and math skills for medication calculations
- Excellent communication and customer service abilities
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Basic knowledge of sterile compounding procedures
- High school diploma or equivalent (required)
