Responsibilities
- Accurately prepare and dispense prescription medications under pharmacist supervision
- Manage pharmaceutical inventory with automated systems
- Process insurance claims and verify patient information
- Provide exceptional patient counseling on medication usage
- Maintain HIPAA-compliant electronic health records
- Collaborate with healthcare providers on medication therapy
- Ensure strict adherence to FDA and DEA regulations
Qualifications
- PTCB or ExCPT certification required
- Texas Pharmacy Technician license
- Minimum 1 year hospital/retail pharmacy experience
- Proficiency in pharmacy software (QS1, Omnicell, etc.)
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work flexible shifts including weekends
- Basic IV certification preferred
