Responsibilities
- Accurately dispense prescription medications under pharmacist supervision
- Manage inventory control and medication ordering systems
- Process insurance claims and verify patient coverage
- Provide exceptional customer service and medication counseling
- Maintain compliance with pharmacy regulations and HIPAA standards
- Operate pharmacy technology including dispensing software
- Collaborate with healthcare providers for prescription verification
- Assist in sterile compounding and IV preparation
Qualifications
- Active NC Pharmacy Technician license required
- Prior pharmacy experience preferred (6+ months)
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Proficient in pharmacy software (e.g., QS1, Omnicell)
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Basic computer skills and data entry proficiency
- Ability to stand for extended periods
