Responsibilities
- Accurately process prescriptions and verify patient information in compliance with state/federal regulations
- Dispense medications and provide pharmaceutical counseling to patients
- Manage inventory control, ordering, and stock rotation
- Collaborate with pharmacists to resolve medication-related inquiries
- Maintain precise patient records and pharmacy documentation
- Operate automated dispensing systems and pharmacy software
- Assist with third-party billing and insurance processing
Qualifications
- Active Pharmacy Technician license in Massachusetts
- Minimum 1 year retail pharmacy experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of prescription processing and HIPAA compliance
- Proficiency in pharmacy management software (e.g., Omnicell, QS/1)
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication and customer service abilities
- High school diploma or equivalent required
