Responsibilities
- Prepare and dispense medications under pharmacist supervision with 99.9% accuracy
- Manage pharmaceutical inventory, ordering, and controlled substance documentation
- Operate automated dispensing systems and electronic health record software
- Provide medication counseling to patients and healthcare staff
- Ensure compliance with FDA, DEA, and HIPAA regulations
- Assist in sterile compounding and IV admixture preparation
- Maintain clean, organized, and compliant pharmacy workspaces
Qualifications
- Active Florida Pharmacy Technician certification
- Minimum 1 year hospital pharmacy experience preferred
- Proficiency in pharmacy management software (e.g., Omnicell, QS/1)
- Strong mathematical and pharmaceutical calculation skills
- Excellent communication and customer service abilities
- Ability to work rotating shifts including weekends and holidays
- Basic IV certification or willingness to obtain upon hire
- High school diploma or equivalent required
