As a Pharmacy Technician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring patients receive their medications accurately and safely. You will work closely with pharmacists to prepare prescriptions, manage inventory, and provide exceptional customer service to our community.
Responsibilities
- Verify and prepare prescriptions for dispensing, ensuring accuracy and safety.
- Assist patients with medication inquiries and provide appropriate counseling.
- Manage pharmacy inventory, including reordering stock and monitoring expiration dates.
- Process insurance claims and handle payment transactions efficiently.
- Collaborate with pharmacists and support staff to ensure smooth daily operations.
- Maintain a clean and organized pharmacy environment in compliance with health regulations.
Qualifications
- Current PTCB or ExCPT certification required.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- State Pharmacy Technician license (if required by state).
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow strict protocols.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Previous experience in a retail or hospital pharmacy setting is preferred.
