Responsibilities
- Accurately dispense prescription medications and verify dosages under pharmacist supervision
- Manage inventory control, ordering, and stock rotation of pharmaceutical products
- Process insurance claims and maintain patient records with meticulous attention to detail
- Provide exceptional customer service, counseling patients on medication usage and side effects
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to optimize patient care outcomes
- Maintain compliance with state and federal pharmacy regulations
- Operate pharmacy management software and automated dispensing systems
Qualifications
- Active California Pharmacy Technician license (PTCB or ExCPT certified)
- Minimum 1 year experience in retail or hospital pharmacy setting
- Strong knowledge of prescription medications, dosages, and interactions
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in medication handling
- Excellent communication skills for patient counseling and team collaboration
- Proficiency in pharmacy management software (e.g., QS1, Omnicell)
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment
- Basic understanding of HIPAA compliance and patient privacy protocols
