Responsibilities
- Accurately dispense and label prescription medications under pharmacist supervision
- Manage inventory control, ordering, and stock rotation of pharmaceutical products
- Process insurance claims and assist patients with medication coverage inquiries
- Maintain precise patient records and electronic health documentation
- Provide exceptional customer service and medication counseling to patients
- Ensure compliance with NY State pharmacy regulations and safety protocols
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to optimize patient outcomes
Qualifications
- Active NY State Pharmacy Technician certification required
- 1+ years of retail or hospital pharmacy experience preferred
- Proficiency in pharmacy management software (e.g., QS1, Omnicell)
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in medication handling
- Excellent communication skills and customer service orientation
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs
- High school diploma or equivalent; PTCB certification a plus
