Responsibilities
- Accurately receive, verify, and dispense prescription medications to patients and healthcare professionals.
- Assist pharmacists in the preparation and packaging of medications, including compounding and sterile products.
- Manage inventory levels, including ordering, stocking, and retrieving pharmaceutical supplies.
- Provide excellent customer service by answering phone inquiries, processing insurance claims, and managing patient profiles.
- Adhere to all state and federal regulations, including HIPAA compliance and safety protocols.
- Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of the pharmacy environment.
Qualifications
- Current PTCB (Pharmacy Technician Certification Board) or ExCPT certification required.
- High school diploma or GED is mandatory.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Pharmacy Technician preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and communicate clearly with patients and colleagues.
- Basic computer proficiency and experience with pharmacy management software.
