Responsibilities
- Process prescription orders accurately and efficiently, verifying all patient information and drug interactions.
- Manage inventory control, including receiving deliveries, stocking shelves, and performing monthly cycle counts.
- Assist patients with medication inquiries, insurance coverage questions, and general pharmacy operations.
- Prepare medications for dispensing, including counting, pouring, and labeling according to state regulations.
- Maintain a clean and organized pharmacy environment while adhering to all safety and sanitation protocols.
- Collaborate with pharmacists on clinical tasks, such as medication therapy management and immunizations.
- Handle returns, exchanges, and recalls in accordance with FDA guidelines.
Qualifications
- Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) by PTCB or ExCPT (or eligibility to sit for the exam).
- Valid Colorado State Pharmacy Technician Registration.
- High School Diploma or GED required; post-secondary education in Pharmacy Technology preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to multi-task in a high-volume setting.
- Excellent communication skills with a focus on customer service.
- Basic computer proficiency and ability to learn new pharmacy software quickly.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
