Responsibilities
- Receive and process prescriptions from healthcare providers with a high degree of accuracy.
- Verify patient information, insurance details, and medication orders to ensure compliance with safety protocols.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and assist in the re-stocking of pharmaceutical supplies.
- Collaborate with pharmacists to prepare medications and provide excellent customer service to patients.
- Operate pharmacy software systems to manage billing, insurance claims, and prescription history.
- Ensure the pharmacy area is clean, organized, and adheres to health and safety regulations.
Qualifications
- Current Certification as a Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) or registration with the Colorado Board of Pharmacy.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent math skills.
- Basic computer proficiency and experience with pharmacy management software.
- Ability to communicate effectively with patients and healthcare professionals.
- Valid driver’s license (optional but preferred for delivery duties).
