About MediCare Plus: We're a community-focused pharmacy chain with 15 locations across Arizona. Our Phoenix branch serves over 500 patients daily and has been voted 'Best Pharmacy in Phoenix' for 3 consecutive years.
Responsibilities
- Accurately dispense prescription medications under pharmacist supervision
- Manage inventory, including ordering and stock rotation
- Process insurance claims and verify patient information
- Provide exceptional customer service and medication counseling
- Maintain HIPAA compliance and strict confidentiality standards
- Operate pharmacy software and automated dispensing systems
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to optimize patient outcomes
Qualifications
- Active Pharmacy Technician certification in Arizona (or willingness to obtain within 90 days)
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Basic computer skills and familiarity with pharmacy technology
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in medication handling
- Excellent communication and customer service abilities
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs
- Pass background check and drug screening
