Your Role
As a Pharmacy Technician, you will be the bridge between patients and their prescriptions, ensuring safety and efficiency in every interaction.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and package prescription medications under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist.
- Verify patient information and insurance coverage to ensure accuracy before dispensing.
- Manage inventory levels, including receiving, stocking, and ordering pharmaceutical supplies.
- Provide exceptional customer service by answering questions about medications and pharmacy services.
- Assist in the clean-up and organization of the pharmacy workspace to maintain a sterile environment.
- Handle cash transactions and manage the pharmacy point-of-sale system efficiently.
Qualifications
- Current PTCB or ExCPT certification is required.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in a fast-paced setting.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 25 lbs.
- Basic computer proficiency and familiarity with pharmacy software.
