Responsibilities
- Verify the accuracy of patient information and physician orders before processing prescriptions.
- Prepare and package prescription medications under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist.
- Manage pharmacy inventory levels, including ordering, stocking, and organizing pharmaceutical supplies.
- Assist patients with medication inquiries, insurance verification, and co-pay processing.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment in compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Perform data entry and documentation accurately, ensuring strict adherence to HIPAA privacy standards.
Qualifications
- Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) or eligibility to obtain certification (PBT/ExCPT).
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs.
- Familiarity with pharmacy management software systems (preferred).
