Responsibilities
- Dispense prescription medications accurately under pharmacist supervision
- Manage inventory control, ordering, and stock rotation of pharmaceutical products
- Process insurance claims and verify patient information for billing accuracy
- Compounding sterile and non-sterile preparations per established protocols
- Maintain HIPAA-compliant patient records and medication documentation
- Provide exceptional customer service and medication counseling to patients
- Ensure compliance with Alaska State Board of Pharmacy regulations
Qualifications
- Active Alaska Pharmacy Technician license
- PTCB or ExCPT certification preferred
- Minimum 1 year pharmacy experience in retail/hospital setting
- Proficiency in pharmacy software (e.g., QS1, Omnicell)
- Strong knowledge of pharmaceutical terminology and abbreviations
- Excellent attention to detail and mathematical accuracy
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
