Responsibilities
- Prepare and package prescription medications under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist.
- Verify patient information and prescription details for accuracy and safety.
- Manage inventory, including receiving, stocking, and ordering pharmaceutical supplies.
- Assist patients with over-the-counter recommendations and general inquiries.
- Process insurance claims and handle payment transactions accurately.
- Perform accurate medication compounding and labeling.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe pharmacy environment.
Qualifications
- Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) or eligible to obtain certification.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Strong understanding of pharmaceutical terminology and medication names.
- Excellent mathematical skills for accurate dosage calculations.
- High level of attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to communicate effectively with patients and healthcare professionals.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred.
