Responsibilities
- Prepare and dispense medications accurately using provided automated dispensing systems
- Manage pharmaceutical inventory with digital tracking tools and compounding equipment
- Process insurance claims and maintain electronic health records (EHR)
- Counsel patients on medication usage and health maintenance protocols
- Ensure compliance with FDA, HIPAA, and pharmacy board regulations
- Train on new pharmacy technologies and equipment as implemented
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to optimize patient outcomes
Qualifications
- Active Pharmacy Technician certification (PTCB or ExCPT)
- 1+ years of experience in retail or hospital pharmacy settings
- Proficiency with pharmacy management software (e.g., QS1, Omnicell)
- Strong knowledge of medication safety protocols and sterile compounding
- Excellent communication skills for patient interactions
- Ability to work efficiently with provided automated dispensing systems
- Pennsylvania pharmacy technician license in good standing
