Responsibilities
- Prepare and dispense medications accurately using provided automated dispensing systems
- Operate pharmacy equipment including automated pill counters, compounding devices, and IV preparation tools
- Verify prescription orders and maintain patient records in pharmacy management software
- Collaborate with pharmacists to ensure medication safety and regulatory compliance
- Manage inventory of pharmaceutical supplies using provided tracking systems
- Provide exceptional patient education on medication usage with provided visual aids
Qualifications
- Active Pharmacy Technician certification in Michigan
- Minimum 1 year experience in hospital or retail pharmacy setting
- Proficiency with pharmacy automation equipment (e.g., Omnicell, Pyxis)
- Strong knowledge of FDA regulations and pharmacy safety protocols
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Basic computer skills with EMR systems (e.g., Epic, Cerner)
