Responsibilities
- Accurately prepare and dispense prescription medications under pharmacist supervision
- Manage inventory with provided automated dispensing systems and barcode scanners
- Maintain sterile compounding equipment and cleanroom protocols
- Process insurance claims using provided pharmacy management software
- Provide patient counseling on medication usage with provided consultation tools
- Operate automated prescription filling equipment and robotics systems
- Ensure compliance with state regulations using provided compliance software
Qualifications
- Active Michigan Pharmacy Technician license
- 6+ months experience in retail or hospital pharmacy
- Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) preferred
- Proficiency with pharmacy dispensing technology (training provided)
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in medication handling
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to lift 25 lbs and stand for extended periods
- Basic computer literacy with willingness to learn new systems
