Responsibilities
- Dispense and verify prescription medications using provided automated systems
- Manage inventory and order pharmaceutical supplies through our digital inventory platform
- Counsel patients on medication usage and side effects with provided reference tools
- Maintain HIPAA-compliant records using our electronic health record system
- Collaborate with pharmacists to prepare sterile compounds using provided compounding equipment
- Operate and troubleshoot pharmacy technology including barcode scanners and pill counters
- Train new staff on equipment protocols and safety procedures
Qualifications
- Active Pharmacy Technician certification (PTCB or ExCPT)
- Texas State Board of Pharmacy registration
- Minimum 1 year pharmacy experience with automated systems
- Proficiency in pharmacy software (e.g., QS1, Omnicell)
- Strong attention to detail and medication safety knowledge
- Excellent communication skills for patient education
- Ability to lift 25 lbs and stand for extended periods
- Basic troubleshooting skills for pharmacy equipment
