Responsibilities
- Accurately prepare and dispense prescription medications under pharmacist supervision
- Manage inventory control, including ordering and tracking pharmaceutical supplies
- Process insurance claims and manage third-party billing systems
- Provide exceptional customer service and medication counseling to patients
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA, DEA, and state pharmacy regulations
- Utilize pharmacy software (e.g., QS/1, Omnicell) for prescription processing
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes
Qualifications
- Active Oklahoma Pharmacy Technician license (or ability to obtain immediately)
- Prior pharmacy technician experience preferred but not required for training
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in medication handling
- Basic computer proficiency and familiarity with pharmacy systems
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs
- Must pass background check and drug screening
