Responsibilities
- Accurately dispense prescription medications under pharmacist supervision
- Manage inventory control, including ordering and stock rotation
- Process insurance claims and verify patient eligibility
- Provide exceptional customer service and medication counseling
- Maintain compliance with DEA, HIPAA, and state pharmacy regulations
- Operate pharmacy management software and automated dispensing systems
- Prepare sterile compounds and IV admixtures (with proper certification)
- Assist with front-end retail operations as needed
Qualifications
- Active Pharmacy Technician certification (PTCB or ExCPT)
- Nevada pharmacy technician license
- Minimum 1 year pharmacy experience (or recent graduate)
- Strong knowledge of prescription medications and medical terminology
- Proficiency in pharmacy software (e.g., QS1, Omnicell)
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks
