Job Summary:
As a Pharmacy Technician, you will play a crucial role in the pharmacy operations, ensuring patients receive their medications accurately and in a timely manner. You will collaborate closely with pharmacists to ensure compliance with all state and federal regulations while providing top-tier customer service.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and package prescription medications for dispensing to customers.
- Verify prescription information for accuracy, completeness, and appropriateness.
- Assist the pharmacist with inventory management, stock replenishment, and record-keeping.
- Process insurance claims and handle payment transactions efficiently.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe pharmacy environment.
- Provide exceptional customer service and answer patient inquiries regarding medications.
- Assist with over-the-counter product recommendations and sales.
Qualifications
- Current Pharmacy Technician certification (CPhT) or eligibility to obtain certification.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Previous experience in a retail or hospital pharmacy setting is preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in medication preparation.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs.
- Must pass a background check and drug screening.
