Responsibilities
- Medication Dispensing: Accurately prepare and dispense prescription medications following strict protocols and safety regulations.
- Inventory Management: Monitor stock levels, order pharmaceutical supplies, and maintain accurate inventory records.
- Customer Service: Assist customers with prescription inquiries, provide medication counseling, and resolve issues professionally.
- Quality Control: Verify prescription accuracy, check for drug interactions, and ensure proper labeling of all medications.
- Regulatory Compliance: Adhere to all state and federal laws, including HIPAA and OSHA regulations.
- Administrative Support: Process insurance claims, update patient profiles, and manage paperwork efficiently.
Qualifications
- Certification: Must hold a current Pharmacy Technician Certification (PTCB or ExCPT).
- Education: High school diploma or GED required.
- Experience: Prior experience as a Pharmacy Technician is preferred but not mandatory for qualified candidates.
- Attention to Detail: Exceptional focus on accuracy and detail in a fast-paced environment.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills to interact effectively with patients and staff.
- Computer Literacy: Proficiency with pharmacy management software and computer systems.
