Responsibilities
- Accurately prepare and dispense prescription medications under pharmacist supervision
- Process insurance claims and manage prescription workflow efficiently
- Maintain pharmacy inventory, including ordering and stock rotation
- Provide exceptional patient education on medication usage and side effects
- Ensure compliance with DEA, HIPAA, and state pharmacy regulations
- Operate automated dispensing systems and pharmacy management software
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to optimize patient care
Qualifications
- Active Texas Pharmacy Technician license (PTCB or ExCPT certified)
- Minimum 1 year retail or hospital pharmacy experience
- Strong knowledge of prescription medications and pharmacy workflows
- Proficiency in pharmacy management systems (e.g., QS1, Omnicell)
- Excellent communication skills with attention to detail
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Basic computer skills and customer service orientation
