Responsibilities
- Prepare and package prescription medications for patients according to legal and ethical standards.
- Verify prescription information for accuracy, completeness, and appropriateness.
- Assist pharmacists in the compounding and preparation of sterile products and chemotherapy agents.
- Manage inventory levels, including ordering supplies and maintaining accurate stock records.
- Process insurance claims and handle patient payment inquiries and concerns.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe pharmacy environment.
Qualifications
- Current Pharmacy Technician certification (CPhT) preferred.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Strong understanding of pharmacy operations, medical terminology, and dosage forms.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a focus on customer service.
- Ability to work accurately under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
- Basic computer proficiency and familiarity with pharmacy software systems.
