Responsibilities
- Prepare and package prescription medications for patients under the direct supervision of a licensed Pharmacist.
- Verify prescription information for accuracy and completeness, including drug interactions and dosage.
- Manage inventory levels, including receiving, stocking, and ordering pharmaceutical supplies.
- Provide exceptional customer service to patients by answering questions and resolving concerns regarding medications.
- Assist in the compounding of medications and maintaining a clean and organized pharmacy environment.
- Ensure compliance with all state and federal regulations, including HIPAA and OSHA standards.
Qualifications
- Certification as a Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) preferred or willingness to obtain certification within 6 months.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in medication dispensing.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is a plus.
