Responsibilities
- Prepare and dispense prescription medications accurately and efficiently under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist.
- Verify prescription orders for completeness, accuracy, and proper labeling.
- Assist customers with medication inquiries, over-the-counter products, and insurance verification processes.
- Manage inventory levels, including stocking shelves, managing returns, and monitoring expiration dates.
- Process prescription claims and maintain accurate patient records in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe pharmacy environment.
- Collaborate with the pharmacy team to ensure optimal workflow and patient satisfaction.
Qualifications
- Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) certification required (or eligibility to obtain within 6 months).
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Strong mathematical skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is a plus.
- Previous experience in a retail or hospital pharmacy setting is preferred.
