Responsibilities
- Process and verify prescription orders accurately and efficiently.
- Prepare and package medications for dispensing to patients.
- Assist the pharmacist with clinical tasks and quality assurance checks.
- Manage inventory levels, including checking stock and reordering supplies.
- Provide excellent customer service and answer patient inquiries regarding medications.
- Operate pharmacy dispensing software and point-of-sale systems.
- Ensure a clean, safe, and organized work area in compliance with health regulations.
Qualifications
- Current PTCB or ExCPT certification.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Strong knowledge of pharmaceutical terminology and drug interactions.
- Excellent attention to detail and math skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple priorities.
- Valid Texas Pharmacy Technician License (if applicable) or willingness to obtain one.
- Basic computer proficiency.
