Responsibilities
- Accurately dispense and verify prescription medications under pharmacist supervision
- Manage pharmacy inventory, including ordering, receiving, and stock rotation
- Process insurance claims and third-party billing efficiently
- Provide exceptional customer service and patient education on medications
- Maintain precise prescription records and documentation
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to optimize patient outcomes
- Assist with compounding and sterile product preparation as needed
Qualifications
- Active Pharmacy Technician certification (PTCB or ExCPT)
- Texas Board of Pharmacy registration (or ability to obtain immediately)
- Minimum 1 year retail or hospital pharmacy experience
- Strong knowledge of prescription processing systems (e.g., QS1, Omnicell)
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in medication handling
- Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
- High school diploma or equivalent required
